Cola Slush

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 8 oz. diet cola, well chilled
• ½ tsp. rum extract

Mix or blend all ingredients. Freeze for 1 ½ hours or until semi-solid. Blend in blender until slushy.

Strawberry Soda Shake

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 10 oz. sugar-free strawberry or cherry soda, well chilled
• 1/8 – 1/4 tsp. strawberry extract

Combine all ingredients in a blender for 2-3 seconds on low speed.

Pineapple Delight

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 cup sugar-free pineapple Jello, prepared
• ½ cup water
• 4 ice cubes

Blend water and ice cubes into blender. Add ice. Add vanilla meal replacement and prepared jello and blend until creamy.

Apple Pie Smoothie

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 packet calorie-free sweetener
• ½ tsp. vanilla extract
• 1 tsp. apple spice (or ¾ tsp. cinnamon and ¼ tsp. nutmeg)
• 9 oz. water
• 5 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth.

Egg Nog

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla pudding meal replacement
• 6 oz. water
• ¼ vanilla extract
• 1 tsp. rum extract

Combine all ingredients and blend on lowest speed for a few seconds.

Orange Creamsicle

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 12 oz. diet orange soda
• 1 tsp. orange extract

Mix or blend all ingredients. Freeze for 1 ½ – 2 hours until semi-solid. Blend in blender until slushy.

Iced Mocha Java

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 1 cup cold decaf coffee
• Calorie-free sweetener as desired

Combine all ingredients and mix or blend on lowest speed. If serving cold, serve over ice.

Old Fashioned Root Beer

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 8 oz. diet root beer, well chilled
• 1/8 tsp. root beer extract
• Pinch of cloves

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend at lowest speed.

Berry Delicious Smoothie

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 12 oz. diet grapefruit soda or Diet 7-UP, well chilled
• ½ tsp. sugar-free mountain berry Kool-Aid
• 4-6 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend at low speed.

Variation: Add ¼ to ½ tsp of pineapple, coconut or banana extract

Vanilla Up

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 8 oz. diet 7-UP, well chilled
• 4-5 drops vanilla extract
• 3 ice cubes

Combine all ingredients and blend at low speed.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 12 oz. diet lemon-lime soda or diet ginger ale, well chilled
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
• 1 packet calorie-free sweetener
• 4-6 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

Chocolate Soda

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 12 oz. chocolate fudge diet soda
• ½ tsp. rum extract
Combine all ingredients and blend at lowest speed to prevent excessive foaming.

Mint Chocolate “Ice Cream”

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 10 oz. crushed ice
• ½ tsp. peppermint extract
• ¼ cup water

Combine all ingredients in blender on high speed. Stop and stir occasionally for smooth consistency. Spoon into bowl.

Chicken Biscuits

• 1 packet New Direction Chicken Soup
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. water
• Mrs. Dash to taste

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix dry ingredients. Add water and mix lightly. Batter will be lumpy. Spoon mixture into mini muffin cups sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Bake 5 ½ -6 minutes or until tops of biscuits are brown. Eat while warm.

Muffins

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1 packet calorie free sweetener
• 7 Tbsp. water
• Optional extract, any flavor, to taste

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix dry ingredients. Add water until mixture has a cake batter consistency. Add mixture to muffin pan sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Bake for 10 minutes.

Pineapple/Apricot Muffins

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla pudding
• 1 packet New Direction vanilla beverage
• 2 packets New Direction Pineapple Apricot
• 4 tsp. baking powder
• ½ tsp. coconut extract
• ½ tsp. rum extract
• ½ tsp. butter flavoring/extract
• Water approx. 1 cup

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix together all dry ingredients. While whipping with a wire whisk, add flavoring and enough water until consistency of cake batter. Spoon mixture into a mini muffin tin sprayed with vegetable oil spray. Bake 5 ½-6 minutes. Makes 4 servings. Freeze extra servings individual freezer bags to defrost fresh when you’re on the go.

Molly’s Spice Cake

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 packet calorie free sweetener
• ¼ tsp. butter flavor extract
• ¼ tsp. baking powder
• ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp apple pie spice
• ¼ cup water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix dry ingredients, add water and extract. Spray mini loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray. Pour batter into pan. Watch carefully after 6 minutes, remove from oven when batter rises.

Pancakes

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 packet Splenda
• 1/3 cup water

Mix together all dry ingredients. Add water and mix with a fork until consistency of pancake batter. Preheat non-stick skillet lightly sprayed with non-fat cooking spray, on medium-low heat. Pour batter and cook until holes form. Flip over and continue to cook until golden brown. Makes 2-3 pancakes.

Pecan Pancakes

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
• ¼ tsp. pecan extract
• Dash of nutmeg (less than ¼ tsp.)
• 1/3 cup water

Mix together all dry ingredients. Add water and extract. Mix with a fork until consistency of pancake batter. Preheat non-stick skillet lightly sprayed with non-fat cooking spray, on medium-low heat. Pour batter and cook until holes form. Flip over and continue to cook until golden brown. Makes 2-3 pancakes.

Mocha Cookies

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate meal replacement
• 2 packet calorie-free sweetener
• 1 level tsp. cocoa
• Scant ¼ tsp. baking powder
• ½ tsp. (or more to taste) instant coffee powder
• 2 Tbsp. cold water
• 1 Tbsp. hot water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Dissolve instant coffee in 1 Tbsp. hot water, then add cold water. Mix all dry ingredients; add coffee mixture and stir well. Batter will be very stiff (about the consistency of brownie batter) if not add another ½ tsp. of water. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto cookie sheet which has been lightly sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake for 5 minutes. Makes 5-6 cookies.

Ginger Creams

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 2 packet calorie free sweetener
• Scant ¼ tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
• ¼ tsp. maple extract
• 2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix all dry ingredients, add extract and water and stir well. Batter will be very stiff (about the consistency of brownie batter) if not, add another ½ tsp. of water. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto cookie sheet which has been lightly sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven immediately; just a few seconds will make the difference between a soft, chewy cookie and a cake-like one. Makes 5-6 cookies.

Snicker Doodles

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 3 packet calorie free sweetener
• 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
• Scant ¼ tsp. baking powder
• 1/8 tsp. lemon extract
• 2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp. water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix together cinnamon and 1 packet of sweetener, set aside. Mix together remaining dry ingredients, add extract and water; stir well. Batter will be very stiff (about the consistency of brownie batter) if not, add another ½ tsp. of water. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto cookie sheet which has been lightly sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Spray bottom of a glass with cooking spray and dip it in cinnamon and sweetener mixture. Flatten batter with glass. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven immediately; just a few seconds will make the difference a soft, chewy cookie and a cake-like one. Makes 5-6 cookies.

Butter Cookies

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 2 packet calorie free sweetener
• 1 tsp. Molly McButter
• Scant ¼ tsp. baking powder
• 4 Tbsp. water

Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine all dry ingredients. Add water to make a soft batter. Drop rounded teaspoons of batter onto cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 6 minutes or in microwave for 1-2 minutes (until almost dry). Remove from oven while slightly moist and serve immediately. Makes 5-6 cookies.

Chicken Chips

• 1 packet New Direction chicken soup
• 1/8 tsp. black pepper
• 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
• 1/8 tsp baking powder
• 6 Tbsp. water

Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix dry ingredients together. Add 4 Tbsp. of water and mix. Add the remaining 2 Tbsp. of water. Batter will have consistency of think pancake batter. Spray non-stick cookie sheet with vegetable oil spray. Spoon mixture onto cookie sheet. Bake for 3 ½ minutes or until firm. Remove from oven and break into chips. Eat immediately, do not over bake; chips will burn.

Pina Colada Surprise

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 5-6 drops pineapple, coconut, and rum extracts
• Calorie-free sweeteners, as desired (each packet add 4 calories and 1 carbohydrate)
• 8 oz. cold water
• Optional 3 ice cubes

Pour water into shaker or blender and add New Direction vanilla meal replacement. Add flavor extracts and shake well or blend for 5 seconds. Taste and add sweetener as desired.

Iced Coffee

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 1 cup decaf coffee, prepared

Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds or blend at lowest speed for 5 seconds until dissolved. Serve over ice.

Lemon Slush

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 6 oz. beverage made with lemon flavored Crystal Light drink mix
• ½ tsp. lemon flavor

Mix or blend all ingredients and freeze for 1 ½-2 hours or until semi-solid. Put in blender and blend until slushy consistency.

Raspberry Slush

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 6 oz. sugar-free raspberry flavored tea, reconstituted
• ½ tsp. rum extract

Mix or blend all ingredients and freeze for 1 ½-2 hours or until semi-solid. Put in blender and blend until slushy consistency.

Strawberry Pineapple

• 1 packet New Direction Strawberry meal replacement
• 3-4 drops pineapple extract
• Calorie-free sweetener, as desired (each packet adds 4 calories and 1 carbohydrate)
• 8 oz. cold water
• 3 ice cubes

Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

• 1 packet New Direction Strawberry meal replacement
• 8 oz. diet lemon lime soda, well chilled
• 1/8 tsp. lemon extract
• Pinch nutmeg (approx. 1/16 tsp.)

Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

• 1 packet New Direction Strawberry meal replacement
• 8 oz. raspberry soda
• Calorie-free sweetener, as desired (each packet adds 4 calories and 1 carbohydrate)

Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

Peach Cobbler

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 8 oz. chilled diet peach soda
• Pinch of cinnamon (approx. 1/16 tsp.)

Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

Raspberry Ice Delight

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 1 tsp. sugar-free raspberry Crystal Light
• 11 oz. water
Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

Citrus Blend Bliss

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 1 tsp. sugar-free citrus blend Crystal Light
• 11 oz. water

Combine ingredients in a shaker cup and serve over ice or blend for 35 seconds on low speed.

Freeze Pops

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 12 oz. diet soda (grape, orange, etc.)
• 1 tsp. unsweetened Kool-Aid (same as soda flavor)
• 1 package unflavored KNOX gelatin

Prepare gelatin according to package directions. Mix other ingredients and stir in the gelatin. Pour into an ice cube tray. Place in freezer. Make 18 cubes.

Orange Sherbet

• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla meal replacement
• 2 packets calorie-free sweetener
• 6 oz. diet orange soda
• ¼ tsp. pure orange extract
• 8 oz. water
• 1 tray ice cubes

Pour water, sweetener, extract, and vanilla powder in a blender. Add ice and blend on crush setting until ice is well blended. Add diet soda and blend well.

Ice Cream Sandwich Cookies

• 1 packet New Direction Hot Cocoa or Chocolate meal replacement
• 2 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. water
• ½ tsp. baking powder
• 1-2 packets Splenda or other calorie-free sweetener

Filling:
• 1 packet New Direction Vanilla or Chocolate meal replacement
• 4-5 oz. water

Preheat oven at 350°F. Combine New Direction Hot Cocoa or Chocolate meal replacement, baking powder, sweetener, and mix dry powders, then add water and stir until smooth. Spoon onto foil-lined cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray to make8 small cookies. Bake 9-10 minutes. Make pudding with 5-6 oz. of water to be a little thick. Let the cookies cool, put pudding on 4 cookies and top with second cookie to make sandwiches. Set in freezer for at least 45 minutes. *Two cookies equal one New Direction beverage.

Peppermint Cocoa

• 1 packet New Direction Chocolate meal replacement
• 1 tsp. cocoa
• 1 tsp. chocolate extract
• 1/8 tsp. peppermint extract
• Dash cinnamon (less than ¼ tsp.)
• 1-2 packets calorie-free sweetener
• 9 oz. hot water

Pour hot water into shaker or blender. Add New Direction chocolate meal replacement and ingredients. Shake vigorously 15-20 seconds or blend at lowest speed for 5 seconds.

Chocolate Diablo

• 1 packet New Direction Chocolate meal replacement
• 1 tsp. freeze-dried coffee
• 1 tsp. cocoa
• 1 packet calorie-free sweetener
• Dash cinnamon (less than ¼ tsp.)
• 9 oz. hot water

Pour hot water into shaker or blender. Add New Direction chocolate meal replacement and ingredients. Shake vigorously 15-20 seconds or blend at lowest speed for 5 seconds.

Mocha Coffee

• 1 packet New Direction Chocolate meal replacement
• 1 cup warm, brewed decaf coffee
• Calorie-free sweetener, as desired (each packet add 4 calories and 1 carbohydrate)

Pour coffee and sweetener into shaker or blender. Add New Direction chocolate powder. Shake vigorously 15-20 seconds or blend at lowest speed for 5 seconds. *Before shaking or blending, you may add in extracts and/or spice for variety. For mint coffee, add 2-3 drops mint extract. For Italian mint coffee, add 2-3 drops each of mint extract and anise extract. For a chocolate cappuccino flavor, use 2-3 drops brandy extract along with a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pumpkin Pie Pudding

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1 packet calorie-free sweetener
• 1/8 tsp. cloves
• ½ tsp. pumpkin pie spice
• 6-7 oz. water

Blend all dry ingredients. Add water and prepare as directed on New Direction vanilla meal replacement package.

Thin Mint Pudding

• 1 packet New Direction Chocolate meal replacement
• 1/8 tsp. peppermint extract
• ½ packet calorie-free sweetener
• 6 oz. water

Blend all dry ingredients. Add water and prepare as directed on New Direction chocolate meal replacement package.

Apple Pie Pudding

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• ½ tsp. apple pie spice
• 1 packet calorie-free sweetener
• 6 oz. water

Blend all dry ingredients. Add water and prepare as directed on New Direction vanilla meal replacement package.

Chocolate Orange Mousse

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate pudding meal replacement
• 2 packet calorie-free sweetener
• Dash cinnamon (less than ¼ tsp.)
• 1 tsp. cocoa
• 1 tsp. orange extract
• ½ cup water

Blend all dry ingredients. Add water and prepare as directed on New Direction chocolate pudding meal replacement package.

Chocolate Cherry Mousse

• 1 packet New Direction chocolate pudding meal replacement
• 1 tsp. cocoa
• 2 packet calorie-free sweetener
• ½ tsp. freeze-dried coffee
• Dash cinnamon (less than ¼ tsp.)
• 1 tsp. cherry extract
• ½ cup water

Blend all dry ingredients. Add water and prepare as directed on New Direction chocolate pudding meal replacement package.

Pecan Mousse

• 1 packet New Direction vanilla meal replacement
• 1-2 packet calorie-free sweetener
• 1 cup hot water
• 1 tsp. unflavored KNOX gelatine
• ½ tsp. pecan extract, to taste
• ½ tsp. coconut extract
• 1 cup cold water

In a blender, add hot water, gelatin, and sweetener. Blend for one minute. Add remaining ingredients and blend until well mixed. Pour into several small or one large serving dish. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 ½ hours or until set.

Zesty Chicken Soup Du Jour

• 1 packet New Direction chicken soup
• 9 oz. water

One of the following spices
• 1/8 tsp. ground thyme
• ½ tsp. cumin
• ½ tsp. coriander
• 1/8 tsp. poultry seasoning
• 1/3 tsp chili powder
• 1/8 tsp. Chinese 5 spice
• 1/8 to ¼ tsp. curry powder
• 1 tsp. Mrs. Dash® Table Blend
• ½ tsp Mrs. Dash® Lemon and Herb
• ¼ tsp. tarragon leaves

Empty New Direction chicken soup powder and one of the spices of your choice into a mug or bowl. Add hot (not boiling) water and mix as directed on packet.

Lemon Parsley Chicken Soup

• 1 packet New Direction chicken soup
• 9 oz. water
• 2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
• ¼ tsp dehydrated parsley flakes

Empty New Direction chicken soup powder and parsley into a mug or bowl. Add hot (not boiling) water and lemon juice and mix as directed on packet.
